My dear Lu,

By my last I sent 2nd of Treasury Bill omitted before & 1st of Lieut. Venables 3 Bill for £30. I shall Send with this 2nd of Venables Bill & 1st of Bill Capt. W Moorsom R.N. 4 on Barclay, Bevan & Co. for £50. –

We had a good dinner – Soup – Boiled Turkey – Roast Mutton, Queen’s own Pig – Pease pudding Potatoes – Plumb pudding Coffee Creams! Sherry Champagne Porter – I had several invitations from Captains of Ships & others & have provoker [sic] for some days to come

Just got so far when a civil note from Mr. Filder informing me that the mail days were now changed & that one closed today at 12. So I shall have to close this hastily. By letting you know I am quite well & will write more fully by the Mail three days hence
